Hi! 👋 I’m Alex Schenk, and I’m excited to collaborate and share resources with computer science educators. 

About Me

I currently teach at a magnet high school in St. Louis Public Schools (St. Louis, MO), where I’ve spent the past 10 years working with students from diverse backgrounds. In addition to teaching computer science, I coach cross country and track & field. I’m passionate about making CS approachable, engaging, and meaningful for all students.

With the College Board, I’ve served on the AP CSP Instructional Design Team (contributing to the Course and Exam Description) and the Standard Setting Committee. I’ve also graded the AP exam as an AP Reader in-person and online.

Each AP Summer Institute I lead is built around teacher feedback and collaboration. I share workshop materials in a Google Drive folder, which remains accessible after the institute.

I’ve facilitated AP CSP workshops for new and experienced teachers across the country, including:
